Level One Bank Interns to Volunteer at Metro Detroit Youth Day

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., - For the second consecutive year, summer interns from Level One Bank will participate in a Metro Detroit tradition designed to bring positive change in the community as volunteers for Metro Detroit Youth Day on July 9 at Belle Isle Park.
Metro Detroit Youth Day is the largest youth event in Michigan. The annual event includes sports clinics, games and contests for attendees along with youth guidance, mentorship, anti-substance abuse activities, motivational speakers, entertainment, and recognition of students for academic excellence and community service. The program awards an average of 80 scholarships per year to local graduating high school seniors.
Level One Bank is hosting thirteen summer interns from colleges and universities across Michigan and Ohio. The interns are gaining hands-on work experience in a variety of departments, including: Accounting, Commercial Lending, Information Technology, Marketing, Retail Banking and more.

Metro Detroit Youth Day has drawn over 800,000 young people since it started thirty years ago. The event has grown from 1,100 participants in its first year to more than 34,000 participants in 2013, including volunteers from more than 340 organizations and 240 business and civic groups.
